I just started messing around with archery, had a low poundage recurve I’ve been practicing with and wanted to try a 40lb. bow without spending a lot. (40 is heavy for a beginner, I’m still getting used to it). Also wanted a center shot so arrow spine wouldn’t matter as much. This one is surprisingly solid. Riser is one-piece solid metal (aluminum?) and a bit heavy (but I’m trying to build some muscles so I don’t mind). Limbs are fiberglass and some kind of hard resin, fairly thick and seem solid (we’ll see). Not laminated, so no fear of it splitting apart unexpectedly. The handle is comfortable rubbery but solid material. String is decent, although a little narrower where the serving is than another 12-strand string I have, so that arrows I had sit a bit loose on the string. It did come with English instructions, well written but very basic. How to string the bow, but nothing for newbies about how to install the rest, sight, or a nock (not included). But you can find that stuff online. The annoying part was that the brush rest it comes with, even when it’s set all the way in, still sits left of center by about 3/32″. I ended up putting a couple washers under the mounting bracket to center it (see photos). It still took about an hour of fiddling to get it exactly center, but I’ve got it now and the arrows are now going in the target more or less straight.I’m using some cheap and popular carbon arrows with 500 spine and plastic vanes also from amazon. This thing is still about half the price of any other takedown bow, and surprisingly high quality. 40lb is heavy draw for someone newWish they had the orange one with Prime shipping but there’s always spray paint.

Arrived fast, assembles easily and quickly, limb alignment took a few ended up shining the limbs on the side to hold the center, only shot it twice but hit my mark both times with no sight, happy with the purchase.

Really impressed with this bow. I bought it for my 13 year old son who had been using a compound bow but wanted to learn other styles of bow shooting. He is outside every afternoon shooting this bow! We have probably shot over 500 arrows with it and it’s still in perfect working order.

At this price point this bow is hard to beat. It is a smooth, comfortable shooting bow. Because I am shooting in a very humid environment I love the fiberglass limbs and aluminum riser. Be aware that if you are going to use the included rest you will have to use adjustable nock arrows. Also know there are no instructions to set up the sights or rest but there are plenty of general tutorials online. Other than that good bow at a good price.

This is a great, fun bow to have as a second or third in your collection. It’s easy to assemble, fires pretty accurately, and is easy to string and unstring. I haven’t had any problems with mine, but you can tell from looking at it that it is not a top-of-the-line bow with fine smooth wood finishes, etc. It’s a practical bow that is good for target shooting as well as small to medium size game hunting. I haven’t tried it on deer or anything larger. Overall, a great value for the price.

This is a replacement bow for one my grandson broke within a few shots. He has used this new one once without it breaking, so at this point it has been a good purchase.

Great take down bow! Easy to assembleCould use a stringer to assist in string-Ing the bow. Sights that comes with areOk but I installed a fiber optic sight.

When I first purchase this bow I had to return it because one limb was damaged. With the new bow I took it to the range. It was easy to assembly and string while at the range. It performed very. I was able to hit the target at 20 yards. For the price I would definitely recommend this bow for a beginner.

Bow works great. My wife uses it almost every day. Instructions were very weak, but I figured them out because I took it apart three times. Someone else might have given up.
